CAKE is a Swedish electric bike company born out of a passion for gravity sports and on a mission to develop high-quality, sustainable performance products. Cake's mission is through the development of electric drivetrains and products, Inspire people, contributing to speeding up the journey towards a zero-emission society, combining excitement with responsibility. Invited to take part in the early development, Above collaborated with the CAKE founding team and designers, co-designing the first conceptual drafts of Kalk. A phase led and directed by CAKE. The design of the Kalk has been about exploring and defining a new design DNA for a unique new product – a design that represents something novel and that connects to the mission and manifests the identity and original experience of the Cake brand. Kalk truly establishes a clear signature that has proven itself through customers, media and awards. We are honored to have been part of Cake's early days and impressed and inspired by their achievements, further engineering, designing, and commercializing the Kalk, with success.
